If you know me at all you know that at any given time I have my hat in many different rings. This week is no exception. After launching www.MomandherApps.blogspot.com two weeks ago and having it be so successful, and both my kids in school I figured why not get my Christine's Creations a boost. So that is just what I have done. We now not only offer custom handmade creations, Custom invitations, but now a website that you can customize so many products. There are many items that I have already designed for you or you can let me know exactly what you want and I will make it happen! This is great for that unique gift that you just couldn't seem to find. Or like me I have two kids in two different sports and could not find a mom hoodie that covered both. The printing work is done professionally because I have partnered up with Spreadshirt to make sure the quality is there for my customers. Please check it out and be sure to spread the word. www.ChristinesCreationsToo.spreadshirt.com

Growing up to FAST!!!

Posted by Christine Fleeger on 10/06/2012 02:50:00 PM
Yesterday I was winding down my work day since it was almost time to go get my kids off the bus at the end of our driveway, when all the sudden my phone rings and my caller ID says it is my son. Of course my heart starts racing thinking shouldn't he be on the bus omg what if there was an accident..... I answer and he says "hey mom would it be alright if I walked into town with some friends and you can pick me up later?" At this point I was thinking an accident might not have scared me as much. After a few Minn of questioning him, and trying to determine if he was pulling one over on me like I use to do. I decided that he was a good kid and I knew the kids he was going with were good as well so I said yes. I hung up the phone and felt as if someone had just taken my little boy away. Now if that wasn't hard enough later when picking him up all the girls that were following him around our little town yelled over to him "Hey are you going to the lock in tonight" He looks at me saying please with his eyes. I said sure and he perks up to tell them yes. We got home and he got his chores done and I looked up the information for the first lock in of the year when I realized that my daughter was old enough now to go as well. I knew that when I took him up to drop him off there would be kids from her class there as well and she would want to stay. I saw this with mixed emotions, first NOOOOOOOOO I can't have them both taking such big steps of growing up in one day. Although on the other hand my husband and I could have a peaceful dinner out with our friends. As Friday night came to a close and I was putting the kids to bed I realized just how grown up they are and how happy I am that they are at these ages.

kids and cell phones

Posted by Christine Fleeger on 10/01/2012 08:54:00 PM
My son's birthday was this past month and my husband and I got him an iPhone for his birthday. Now before you go all off the handle that we bought a twelve year old an iPhone, it was an iPhone three referb. I told him that if he can keep this phone without loosing it or breaking it for one year I would upgrade him to the four. Having said that I have major restrictions on his phone. It will not work at all during school hours, if he wants to download not only is there a password that only I know but it simultaneously downloads the same thing to my phone and if I stop it on my phone it will do the same on his. My son has in my opinion received this phone for two reasons, first he goes with his Bio~Dad every other weekend to Pittsburgh (and he just moved to a portion that I don't feel is all that safe). Second he is now twelve and is a responsible sweet boy. Yes he will always be a boy to me. Maybe I do have a third reason I can track him when he and his little sister are on their way home on the bus and be out our 1/2 mile driveway when they are getting off the bus.

This evening he comes to me after what I feel is plenty of tech time (computer, iPad, iPhone....) and requests me to download on his phone an app. Now this is not a bad app it looks to be a bit educational about outer space but still an app after hours. My answer after looking over the app was this looks good come see me tomorrow you are done for tonight. When out of the blue he called me the GRINCH! Mind you now not in a mean way just politely looked at me and said "Mom your a Grinch" WOW what do I say to that so I just laughed, and said get ready for bed, then went on with our evening.

My question to everyone out there is...first do your children have cell phones (how old are they) and second why did you decide to get them one or not get them one?

The day yesterday started with my dryer being declared dead. You might think now how can you top that? Well my children came home from school and my daughter was literately walking the walls. It was raining so she couldn't go outside and play but had way too much energy pent up from sitting in school all day. I had my kids help make dinner, Tacos, we had a nice family dinner and were about to start homework when my son and daughter (and husband too) started to goof off. In the end my son ended up being rushed to the ER with what we thought at the time was a broken wrist. Thank goodness it ended up just being a bad sprain and bruise. After a splint and sling we were on our way home, and just in time for bed.

Mom and her Apps

Posted by Christine Fleeger on 9/21/2012 09:23:00 AM
Hello friends and family. I have started a new blog that will be directed to mom's and their apps. I currently use an iPhone although most of the apps that I will be reviewing are available either on the Android market or via the internet as well as iTunes. I will be reviewing many apps that I feel will make either mom or the whole family's lives easier. I will also review a few apps that you can make some money on. I will not post any apps that I don't use myself. So far I am finding the apps and reviewing them on my own although I have been approached to review a few apps and products that will be given to me and I will always note that in my reviews. I hope you will enjoy this new review site. Please sign up on the left hand side of www.momandherapps.blogspot.com to receive updates from us as we post. I also am looking for any apps that you use that make your life easier or that you couldn't live without. I am also looking for guest bloggers so please let me know if you are interested.

Another school year has begun. We are only one week into our school year because of delays due to construction. My youngest started Kindergarten this year and yes I balled on the first day of school. My oldest is in 6th grade, his second year of middle school. I found myself with a wierd feeling this past week I was remembering when my oldest was starting school but looking forward to the day he graduates.
