This weekend the last of us Gesler grandchildren got married. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was awesome! My god daughter was a jr bridesmaid and looked beautiful. There was so much food that we couldn't even begin to finish it all.

Stinky house

Posted by Christine Fleeger on 6/04/2012 06:59:00 PM
My husband has a love for garlic. Yes garlic. I can't stand it. This is the one thing we really can't seem to agree or even compromise on in any way last night I made his fave beer bread and he asked for the dreaded garlic spread to go with it. Now my entire house yes even upstairs too smells and is driving me nuts.

What a weekend

Posted by Christine Fleeger on 5/08/2012 08:45:00 AM
This has been a long weekend but I wouldn't have it any other way. We started our whirlwind weekend Thursday night with what would be the first of five little league games for my son, one soccer game for my daughter and the laying of the stonework on sunday for my hubby and I. This weekend reminded me of just how happy my family makes me.

Spring Sports.

Hello everyone, it is that time of year again when life around the Fleeger Home gets crazy. This year no only are we going in all directions for my son's little league but we have added my daughters soccer schedule into the mix. My son is playing Baseball at least three games a week and there are a few tournaments this year as well. My daughter has one night of practice and one game a week. Unfortunately the night of practice for my daughter is also one of the nights my son has a game, when his game is home there is no problem I drop him off at the field with his team (he is 11) and I take my 5 yr old daughter to her soccer practice and after we come back and watch the rest of his game. On the nights when he is playing an away game and she has practice we have to rely on my parents to help out and get him to his game till I am done with soccer for her. So my question today is if you have more than one child in activities at the same time how do you handle it. My husband is not an option in helping because he is working during this time and can not get off early.

update. more to come

Posted by Christine Fleeger on 12/26/2011 11:32:00 AM
Hello Friends, It has been a long time since I have blogged, I have gotten caught up in the day to day of our Fleeger Family lives. We have had a couple of hard months lately and I have found myself needing to blog again. I am now currently cyber schooling our youngest. She was bored at Pre-K and yet not old enough to start Kindergarten this year. She is loving they cyber school and doing very well. Our oldest has had some medical issues and we are currently testing. He will be headed back to the hospital this week for a colonosocpy and endoscopy. Hopefully these tests will give us some more solid answers. We have also had some medical issues with our niece, who was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma (Bone Cancer) in Aug. She is doing well today and contnues to amaze us with her positive attitued! Brian is laid off again for the winter, although I do like having him home I find my self in that summer mom mode with him. I can't wait for the time off but shortly after it begins the novelty wears off and I can't wait for him to go back in the spring. I hope everyone had a wonderfull christmas, and has a safe new year.

What a summer

Posted by Christine Fleeger on 8/09/2010 10:12:00 AM
Wow what a summer it has been. The time has just flown by. As I sit here there are only 3 weeks till school starts for my small people. I look at that with mixed emotions. During the summer months I also take a bit of a respit as you can tell from the lack of entries. On the one hand I so exited to send my son off to his fourth grade year! On the other hand my baby starts pre-school this year! And then there is the thought that for two days a week I will have the house to myself from 9am to 3pm so I may actually get some work done this year. As well as the thought of having to get up early again to get my oldest off to school. So as you can see the upcoming school year will be approached with many mixed emotions, but none the less it will be an adventure so stay tuned for the fun details.

Adult time?? What's that??

Posted by Christine Fleeger on 6/11/2010 01:37:00 PM
This weekend another one of my husbands friends is getting married and he is in the wedding party. I was so nervous last time since I didn't think I was going to know anyone there and would be all alone while he did his duties. This time I am feeling a little less apprehensive about the wedding. First I do know the group of friends a bit better and am more comfortable sitting with them at the wedding. Second I am excited about not having the kids. I think it has many years since we have had a weekend to ourselves. Originally we were suposto get a hotel room Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and the kids were going to my parents. Due to some last second fixes needed to our van Thursday night got scrapped so we took the whole family (borrowing my mothers car) up to Millcreek mall to get Brian's tux. For all of you who are about to fall over yes although he did not wear one to our wedding apparently he will for others. Today my husband is going to pick up our van hopefully it is correctly fixed this time and we are going to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner kid free. Unfortunately because of the cost of the van repairs we are going to have to drive home tonight. On a better note the kids are staying next door at my parents all night even tho we have to come home. Tomorrow I will probably get the kids and give them breakfast and some mommy time before we have to get ready for the wedding. Another good note my husband will have to get in his tux and I will be dressed up so hopefully we can get some nice pics here at the house before we leave.

Where has the time gone??

Posted by Christine Fleeger on 6/04/2010 02:53:00 PM
It seems like just yesterday I was sending my sweet boy off to his first day of first grade, and yet today he walked off the bus as an official 4th grader. 2019 is fast approaching! When I had my sweet boy I never realized that this time would go so fast. Everyone tells you to enjoy it because they will be all grown up before you know it. Every year September 15th to be exact my son turns a year older. Every year I allow my son to go into school a bit late. We sleep in and then he gets ready for school but we make a pit stop first for breakfast, just Robby and I. We have so much fun reflecting about what all happened in his life in the past year and predicting what will happen in the year to come. I then take him to school. We have been doing this since he started Pre-School and I will continue the tradition with my Daughter as she will be starting Pre-School in the fall. So as we start the summer months of sun, swimming and vacations I will remember to Cherish the time I have with my precious children.
