Every day there is one thing I have completely mixed feelings on. My Daughters hair!! I love how long her hair is but on the other hand I completely hate brushing it! It is always tangled and always has bits of food in it. Anne screams bloody murder every time I brush it, I am real glad we live so far off the beaten path or people might call child services on me for just brushing her hair. We have been talking for months now about getting her hair cut and donating it to locks of love. This past Saturday I geared up to brush Anne's hair and get ready for the day. As usual she screamed and screamed, that was enough for me we went straight to get her hair cut!!! We ended up with 11 inches to send to locks of love. I have to say that her father took it better than I ever thought. He was willing to go on such a whim that day. He held his protective dad pose and walked her right into the salon and watched over her the whole time. Although he is disappointed with how short we had it cut he is being a wonderful father!!!!

This is Black History Month. At my son's school they had to pick a famous black person and write a speech as if they were this person to be presented in a wax museam. My son picked Roberto Clemente. Since we are from the Pittsburgh area and my son is a huge baseball fan, he was excited when his person was approved. I have to say that I think I may have been a bit more nervous for him than he actully was.

So here is the question of the day. Do you allow your significant other to be friends with people of the opposite sex? I live about an hour away from the town that I grew up in and I never imagined that anyone I went to school with would end up in the next town over, let alone one of my best friends from JR high. Yes as the previous question would suggest my best friend was a guy. To be exact I had two best friends and they were both guys. I have recent reconnected with both of them via Facebook. One lives a couple of hundred of miles away and the other ended up being less than 15 miles away. When I told my husband that I was friends with these particular two men he didn't care as we have a trusting relationship. As I began my on line friendship with one of these "old friends" I was given the impression that he was happily married and had a wonderfully life with his wife and children. As we further discussed getting our families together and possibly beginning a new friendship as well, I received a phone call from his wife telling me that she was trying to get him to divorce her and leave her alone. I was for lack of better explanation completely blown away. I discussed this with my husband and we decided that being his friend now was even more important than ever. This friendship was progressing nicely my husband and friend were even talking about going hunting together. I was looking forward to not only having my friend back but having someone who knew me so close, as my husband grew up around here and has many friends that we hang out with. With in the next 24 hours I once again was getting a phone call from his wife telling me that I had no right to try to reconnect and did my husband know that I was talking to him. I tried to tell her that my husband knows everything. I do not keep secrets! So here is my dilemma do I continue to try to be friends or give up on this friendship?????????

So here it is 2010 and I can no longer say I will do that in the new year. So here are my resolutions, (hopefully by posting them I will stick to them) Of course I want to loose some weight not only so I can look better but for my health. Second I want to do more blogging/Vlogging I have not done nearly what I wanted to last year. Third I want to make it to at least one conference this year. I have met so many wonderful women blogging, on MomTV.com and Twitter and would love to pick some brains how I can make my blog better. And as always I want to be the best wife and mother I can. I write this at almost 10pm on Monday night, my 3yr old is downstairs fighting with her father about picking up her toys and my 9yr old who has school in the am keeps coming into my office with STUPID excuses as to why he is not asleep. So I think I am adding a resolution to my list and making it a priority. I AM going to get the kids into a steady night time routine and make them (an me) stick to it so I can spend some time at night with my husband. There they are out there did you hear that universe!
